Outstanding performance makes The Pentad Group an Award Winner

WELLESLEY HILLS, MA (November 28, 2006) – Kate McLellan, Principal of The Pentad Group, located in Wellesley Hills, Mass., is pleased to announce that The Pentad Group, in conjunction with Newton Advisory Resources and Ruberto, Israel and Weiner, P.C., received The Turnaround Management Association’s (TMA) Small Business Transaction of the Year Award at the association’s annual awards ceremony held at the Boston Harbor Hotel on November 28. The turnaround work performed by The Pentad Group, Newton Advisory Services and Ruberto, Israel and Weiner, P.C., was for a services business operating in Roxbury, MA.

Info about award: The Turnaround Management Association is a forum of professionals whose focus is on assisting troubled companies with their turnaround efforts. Members of TMA convene monthly in order to exchange ideas, disciplines and general information about the turnaround industry. The Turnaround of the Year award is given to professional services firms who made a significant impact on turning around a New England Area business.

The Pentad Group was referred to this troubled company by Ellen Korpi, CEO and founder of Newton Advisory Resources, a consultancy that advises small to medium-sized businesses on their financial strategies. Korpi worked in conjunction with The Pentad Group team engaged on the turnaround project. The Pentad Group team, headed by Principals Tom Goltz and Joel Adler, had over 40 years combined finance, accounting and turnaround management experience. The Pentad Group’s role on this project was to assist with the accounting, financial systems and financial reporting for the troubled company. The work performed by The Pentad Group resulted in the business break-even, as well as allowing the business to pay-off significant bank debt.
